Bellingham on Nextdoor is Awesome!

Nextdoor is all about neighbors sharing and asking questions in various categories from news, crime, lost pets, and free stuff. My assistant thought it could be an interesting spot to ask some questions, and let me tell you, it has turned out to be a great source of information for neighbor to neighbor connection! It’s less anonymous than Reddit of course, but it allows you to connect with folks you wouldn’t meet or “friend” on Facebook.

Your Neighbors are on Nextdoor

I’ve been most impressed by the sheer amount of engagement across the board when any neighbor asks a question. For example, I asked a question about if there was somewhere local that could use left over brown paper bags and in about half an hour, I had 10 comments from helpful neighbors offering ideas and sharing where they had taken their own leftover bags.

Great Map Feature

I also am impressed with the Discover Page on Nextdoor. It has many options for businesses that might be independent contractors or harder to find with a Google Search. I really like how my page has come along as well check it out: Alana Mey, Realtor in Bellingham | Compass Real Estate

I truly would not have guessed that Nextdoor would be such an interesting platform for Bellingham residents and all of the diverse neighborhoods.
